LHS students turn Loveland City Council members
At 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, Loveland High School (LHS) students will take the place of the Loveland City Council and staff to run a real council meeting; the event serves as a real-life experience in government studies under the direction of Chuck Warden, LHS social studies teacher.
“Loveland students have been cooperatively participating with the Loveland City Council for more than 40 years in facilitating this local government experience,” said Warden. “The Loveland City Council Experience is an actual live council meeting the students run, with a real agenda. This is an awesome opportunity for the students to bring what they learn in class to life.”
“We are thrilled to have this continuing relationship with the Loveland City Council,” said Chris Kloesz, LHS principal. “This is a unique partnership that provides a fantastic, firsthand learning experience for our students. We hope the community will come out to see the students in action.”
