In this game students match equivalent fractions. Each round of the game gets more difficult as more and more fractions are used.

The Decifractator

This online tool allows the user to easily manipulate the numerator and denominator in a fraction, and then generates the corresponding decimal. The ease of manipulation allows students to discover patterns and relationships.

Rename in Lowest Terms Circle

In this online activity students are shown a circle with parts shaded in. First they fill in what fraction is represented by the circle. Then they rename it in lowest terms. Helpful explanations are on the site as well.

This web site uses colorful animation and great explanations to teach about fractions, visualizing fractions, and equivalent fractions. After the instruction, the students can take an online quiz to assess their understanding.

Virtual Base Blocks - Adding Decimals

This online manipulative allows students to add decimals using base ten blocks that can be combined and split. You can do random problems or create your own.

Equivalent Fractions by Harcourt School Publishers

This online game is a concentration-style game where the student tries to match pairs of cards that represent equivalent fractions by numbers and pictures. The cards are randomly generated so each game is new.
