This is a cute online game where an worm is peeking out of one of ten apples. The student identifies the apple by its place in the row using ordinal numbers. There are ten rounds in the entire game.

Counting Machine

This simple activity is a counting machine. Students can start at any number. They can choose the interval in which the machine will count. Then the students can have the machine count. There are many uses for this activity, either with individuals, pairs or groups. They can use it as a demonstration or guess the next number and then use the machine to check themsleves. This is a simple concept but one the students will enjoy.

This is a simple representational game. It shows shapes in groups of tens and ones. The students choose the number that represents the total of the groups. It is easy for students to use independently and attractive so they will want to use it.

This is a game of catching falling leaves in a basket. The scoring of the game involves collecting single leaves until you have ten anf then they are moved into the tens column. If you miss leaves, numbers are subtracted. This demonstrates making tens and taking them apart. This is a simple game students can do independently.
