Bachelor of Science, Education (Miami University)
Master of Education, School Administration (Xavier University)
Administrator with Loveland Schools since 1997
After graduating first as an undergraduate from Miami University, then as a graduate student from Xavier University, I hit the "career lottery" and found my way to Loveland. Having started as the assistant principal at Loveland Middle School, I then moved on to my first principalship. From 2000-2007 I had the honor of being the principal of Loveland Primary School. Since then I have made my work home within the warm and welcoming confines of Loveland Early Childhood Center.
I have two delightful children, Kayleigh and Tyler, who light up my life. Both of my children have added an element of joy and wonder that I could not have imagined prior to being a dad. Watching them grow and develop and constantly change has been my favorite hobby. When they were younger there wasn’t much that they enjoyed more than having books read to them. That was always so rewarding for me as a parent too. I especially enjoyed having the opportunity to go back and revisit some old favorites from my own childhood, while at the same time enjoying many of the great new children’s books that have come out since I was a kid. My children showed me what I already knew to be true: that it is never too early to start reading. My goal as the principal of LECC's students is to see to it that the same joy and love of reading will be engendered in all of “my kids.”
