Naviance Student (formerly Naviance Family Connection) is a web-based service designed especially for students and parents. It is a comprehensive website that families can use while making decisions about courses, colleges, and careers.
Naviance is used extensively for the college application process but is a valuable resource for all grade levels.  Registration codes for students and parents are required for access to the website. Codes for new users will be available at the beginning of each school year.  If you need your code, please contact your school counselor.
College Readiness Testing
CEEB Code
A CEEB code is a standardized ID number that is assigned to a high school, college, or university. CEEB codes are issued by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).  This code is used mostly in college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT.  Many universities have opted to use CEEB codes on their applications.
Loveland High School CEEB code:  363-085
PSAT (Preliminary SAT)
The PSAT is administered to all LHS juniors in October of each year. For the 2017-18 school year, sophomores will also take the PSAT in October.
PreACT  (Practice ACT)
The PreACT will be administered to all LHS sophomores in March of 2018.
The SAT is administered by CollegeBoard. The SAT tests skills you are learning in school: reading, writing and math.
The ACT test is a curriculum- and standards-based educational and career planning tool that assesses students' academic readiness for college. Loveland High School will administer the ACT to all juniors each March.
Advanced Placement Testing (AP)
Various Advanced Placement courses are offered at LHS.  Please refer to the Course Selection Guide for a complete listing of courses. Through AP's college-level courses and exams, students have the potential to earn college credit and advanced placement upon entering college. For additional information, please go to the AP section of the CollegeBoard website
Financial Aid and Scholarships
The following websites provide a wealth of information regarding Financial Aid and Scholarship opportunities. Please visit Naviance Student for the most up-to-date information regarding Loveland High School specific opportunities. Naviance log in information for new users is sent home at the beginning of each school year.  Please contact your counselor if you have questions.
NCAA Eligibility and Registration for College-Bound Athletes
Students interested in participating in college athletics may need to complete the NCAA Eligibility process.  Please go to the NCAA Eligibility Center for more information.
Military Options
Joining the Military is a big decision.  As an official Department of Defense website, Today's Military, will help you thoughtfully weigh the opportunity and make an informed choice.
