Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!
The first day of school will be on Tuesday, August 21st.
A FEW REMINDERS FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR
SCHEDULE PICKUP & OTHER INFO
 
Health Screenings for Freshmen will be done by the school nurse during Link Crew Orientation.  Health Screenings for Juniors will be done by the nurse during their schedule pickup time.  Students must go to the hallway by the clinic to have this done prior to receiving their schedule.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Requirements for school supplies vary according to the students' schedules. On the first day of school, students should bring paper and pen or pencil. Teachers will then inform them of the specific needs for each class.
All students will be required to provide their own graphing calculator for Math I, II, & III.

Picture Makeup & Retake Day will be  Friday, October 12th during lunch.
LUNCH ASSIGNMENTS
Lunches are assigned by 3rd block. A document with the lunch assignments by teacher will be posted throughout the building on schedule pickup days.
BUS INFORMATION
All bus and schedule related information will be on the district website.  You will select 2018-19 Bus Routes and follow the prompts for your child’s transportation information.

 

EMERGENCY MEDICAL/RELEASE AUTHORIZATION

It's time to complete your child's Emergency Medical Authorization (EMA) form for the 2018-2019 school year. If you have already completed this form, thank you!  All EMA forms are due no later than August 3, 2018.  JVS students should also complete this form, which includes the "Consent to Alcohol Testing at Event," to be able to participate in school dances.

AGAIN THIS YEAR: Students will not be able to receive classroom information or student schedules until the EMA form has been completed and submitted to the district. If you do not have access to a computer, please contact your building secretary to arrange a time to meet at the school office for assistance. 

Click here to complete the EMA form, or go to lovelandschools.org, click on the word "Parents" on the top right of the page, then click on "Emergency Medical Authorization Form." Keep in mind that all information on the EMA form should be kept up to date throughout the school year. This is the information that we use in order to contact you in case of an emergency. All changes will have to be made by parents. Staff will not be permitted to make changes to the data on the forms, including phone, email, or any contact information.

If you have forgotten your username and/or your password, click on "forgot credentials" and the information will be emailed to you.

If you are new to Loveland and have enrolled for the 18-19 school year anytime between January of 2018 and today, you will also have to follow this procedure.

If your child is involved in school-based activities outside of the school day (sports, drama, choir, band, orchestra, clubs), the nurses may be unaware. It is important for you to share with the adult supervising your student the health needs of your child and any special concerns you might have. The nurses are happy to assist you in providing your student's health care plan to the coach or sponsor, but you must let the nurses know if you need help in this area. Please remember to update us if needed with any change in activities (new season, new activity) as the year progresses.

 

SIGN UP FOR NEWS AND SCHOOL ALERTS

The Loveland City School District has two platforms for mass, direct communication:

· Sign Up for News – a system the district uses to communicate district and building news to parents and students through a once-a-week (Sunday) email distribution

· School Alerts – a system the district utilizes in the event of an emergency or closing; this system has the capability to distribute email, text, and voice message alerts

These are separate systems that require unique accounts.

Through the TIGER TECH DEN the Loveland City School District promises to provide our families with all the necessary information regarding all things technology and learning across our school district.  The One to World program information may be accessed at THIS LINK.

Information will be distributed to sophomores regarding ordering class rings and to seniors regarding ordering graduation caps/gowns, announcements and other items.  Caps and gowns should be ordered as soon as possible.  If a senior should decide later not to participate in the graduation ceremony, a credit can be issued by the vendor.  After the deadline to order has passed a late fee and shipping costs will be added. 
 
Monday, August 27
Staff & Student ID & Yearbook Pictures
7:30am-2pm in the Auxilliary Gym
(Makeup & Retakes will take place on October 12th) 
 
Wednesday, August 29
Open House 
6:45 - 8:20pm

The evening will be a "mini day" in school at which time you will follow your child’s schedule. More information will follow.

Graduate Service, Inc. will be at the high school on this evening from 3-8pm to take orders for sophomore rings and senior graduation products (including the cap and gown).  Sophomore and Senior students receive this information on Friday, August 24th during their class meetings.  Caps and gowns should be ordered as soon as possible.  If a senior should decide later not to participate in the graduation ceremony, a credit can be issued by the vendor.  After the deadline to order has passed a late fee and shipping costs will be added.
